I am fiercely proud of that achievement. At a time when I did not have
enough money and a badly damaged boat, when I was being bullied by a
greedy individual in a position of authority and when things seemed a bit
hopeless; I found a way to use the internet to earn the money I needed.
I don't like bullies and I don't like losing and the stakes were high for me
then. It wasn't easy to keep my nerve, as each day seemed to fly by with no
apparent progress. It wasn't easy to follow the plan that I'd come up with,
but I did it and it paid off.
I consider the knowledge of how I succeeded to be valuable. Especially
since what I did can be repeated time after time after time with, actually,
increasing levels of success!
I still do it to this day and I have not altered my original plan one bit!
I've just today put that knowledge down on paper ( well, on a datakey via
my laptop at the chart table actually ) and I am selling that unique and very
valuable information to other Yachtsmen and Yachtswomen online as an

| Ask yourself:- "If I needed £1900.00 hard cash right now, or in a few days time, could I get it?" I don't mean by maxing out your credit cards or begging a bank for a personal loan either! "... the Port Capitan has changed his mind yet again and has just told me
now that I cannot leave my boat here unattended and that I am only
allowed to stop in 'his' Marina for two weeks.
The marina is almost empty, so it's not a question of space. More
invented restrictions will be placed on me until I pay the bribe that he
clearly wants. Nothing new, I've seen it before and will continue to for as
long as I cruise to out-of-the-way-places.
So, I can't sail out of here until the mast and rigging are replaced. The
nearest alternative Port is too far to be safely considered as an option. I
don't have the money to make the repairs here, I now can't leave my boat
here to fly home to quickly earn the money that I need and I have to
vacate this berth in two weeks time (at the moment) anyway.

Two solutions present themselves; either I somehow persuade the Port
Capitan to change his mind and then trust him to look after my boat while I
am several thousand miles away putting together some money, or I come
up with the money I need (somehow) right here and in less than two
weeks ..."
